November has really been a month for networking and collaboration at PATV.
We are delighted to be collaborating with the lovely folk at Romsey Mens’ Shed. They have very kindly made some watercolour stretching boards for us which we will be putting to good use straight away. Vicki is going to be visiting the Mens’ Shed soon and will be running some art sessions for their members.
Pam Jobling and Jill Wilson receiving the boards from Ron Bowater of Romsey Men’s Shed.
We have also some exciting news about singing. With financial support from Romsey Male Voice Choir we will be launching The Memory Choir in February 2020. Led by Kim Garner, this is aimed at anyone with memory problems, their carers and supporters, but will also be available to anyone referred to PATV. Watch this space for news on start date and venue.
We were also delighted to be present at the very well attended Older Persons Interactive Workshop at the Crosfield Hall earlier in the month. We chatted to lots of lovely people and had the opportunity to tell the audience about our work in Romsey.
We had a visit from Jonathan Birch from Dovetail Framing who is always welcome at PATV sessions. He gave a short talk to the group about how framing can enhance art work. He has generously donated some frames to us which will be used for producing some work for sale at the Romsey Gift Market on December 8th.
Our new Christmas cards are now back from the printers. We are very honoured that one of the designs has been chosen by Romsey Mayor, Janet Burnage, as her official Christmas card for 2019.
Cards are on sale at the Romsey Information Centre. We will also soon have a PayPal facility on our website and the cards can be purchased through the website.
We will also have a stall at Romsey Town Hall on Sunday 8th 2019. Come along and say hello to us. There will be some of our participants’ art work on sale too.
