Our Fundraising

Prescription Art Test Valley was originally funded with money raised by the volunteer team who held fundraising events, quizzes, dinners and lunches.

Since then we have concentrated our efforts on applying for grants and we have been fortunate to have received several to date.  We also have a generous benefactor in the local business community.

The grants and donations we have received this year to date are as follows:

The Waitrose green token scheme Community Matters £ 300

The Romsey Ukelele band £74

Rum’s Eg Singers £223

In addition, Rum’s Eg singers were honoured to be invited to form the choir at a wedding in Lockerley just before Christmas.  The family made a generous donation of £400 to PATV.

Romsey Town Carnival Committee £500

Southampton Electrical Society £200

Romsey and Chandlers Ford Round Table £500

Royal Gloucester Freemasons Lodge £200

And in 2017/2018...

Maritime Solutions   £1000

Heart of Experian   £1200

Cllr Roy Perry (community grant)   £1000

Cllr Mark Cooper (community grant)   £400

Romsey  Working Men Conservative Club   £200

Aviva Community Fund   £200

Broadlands Solar Farm Community Grant    £1300

Test Valley Round Table   £500

John and Jane Chambers (undisclosed amount)

We also raised over £200 from the sale of Christmas cards with original designs by participants in Prescription Art Classes.

We have been nominated as this year’s Carnival Charity by Romsey Working Men Conservative Club.

All the above grants are used to pay for materials, venue hire and facilitator fees.  All administration is carried out by volunteers who are unpaid.
