Some really good news this month!

We have been successful in our application to Hampshire County Council Rural Community support and have been awarded £1000. This grant will be used during 2020 to provide three outreach sessions of art and singing in Test Valley villages using the Bus of Many Things. This bus is fitted out with a workshop space and we are really looking forward to hosting these events.

This project will be part of an extensive programme of events being organised by The Test Valley Borough of Culture 2020. We are now busy planning the locations and dates for these taster workshops which are particularly aimed at residents who are unable to access our sessions in Romsey due to poor transport links or immobility. We very much hope that these will be the beginning of developing regular sessions in Test Valley villages. As usual the sessions will be free for those attending.

And then . . .

Romsey Chamber of Commerce nominated us their charity of the year and I was very honoured to be a guest at their annual garden party held in the beautiful gardens on the Test in Romsey. They raised over £700 with an amazing raffle which Santander has generously matched.[if gte vml 1]><o:wrapblock><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"> <v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke> <v:formulas> <v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f> </v:formulas> <v:path o:extrusionok="f" gradientshapeok="t" o:connecttype="rect"></v:path> <o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"></o:lock> </v:shapetype><v:shape id="officeArt_x0020_object" o:spid="_x0000_s1026" type="#_x0000_t75" style='position:absolute;margin-left:5pt;margin-top:18.7pt; width:320.65pt;height:191.65pt;z-index:251659264;visibility:visible; mso-wrap-style:square;mso-wrap-distance-left:12pt;mso-wrap-distance-top:12pt; mso-wrap-distance-right:12pt;mso-wrap-distance-bottom:12pt; mso-position-horizontal:absolute;mso-position-horizontal-relative:margin; mso-position-vertical:absolute;mso-position-vertical-relative:line' strokeweight="1pt"> <v:stroke miterlimit="4"></v:stroke> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\Users\windows\AppData\Local\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.jpg" o:title=""></v:imagedata> <w:wrap type="topAndBottom" anchorx="margin" anchory="line"></w:wrap> </v:shape><![endif][if !vml]

Some of the guests at the Chamber of Commerce summer party. I am in there somewhere!

and even more . . .

We heard we had been successful in our application for a grant from Hendy Lennox. They are giving us £500 to fund our continuing work.

And . .

Our new greeting cards are back from the printers and are on sale at £2. There are some really lovely designs and these can be purchased at the Romsey Tourist Office.

We are looking forward to starting our new sessions at the Dr Peter Centre on 10th September. For the first time we are oversubscribed on the sessions and now have a small waiting list. We are in a healthy position both financially and with manpower so we will be looking at further expansion of our classes in 2020.

Best wishes from all at PATV.
