Exhibition success at Romsey Inside Out Art Trail

On the 1st July PATV took part in the Romsey Inside Out Art Trail and held its first exhibition in the Mayors Parlour Romsey Town Hall. It was a great success and welcomed many visitors who chatted with group members, volunteers and art facilitators. The Mayors parlour was the perfect space to talk to people interested in our courses.

The paintings and pottery looked terrific, and there was a lovely atmosphere. It was a great experience for our artists to see their work exhibited and enjoyed by the public. Some were able to sell work; a great boost for self-esteem!

There was a lot of interest in what we do and individuals from other organisations came along to say hello. We have made new friends and valuable contacts that will help to bring prescription art to more people who may benefit. We are hoping to take a “roving” art exhibition, together with new information leaflets, out to GP practices for patients to enjoy.

PATV is now able to offer follow on summer art and singing sessions at the Dr Peter Centre, and a letter has been circulated to all previous group participants.

Finally …….a big thank you to Mark Edgerley and Jonathan Birch for their incredible support and help.

PATV is now looking forward to the Romsey Carnival and the support of Romsey Working Mens Conservative Club who have nominated PATV as their carnival charity. Wonderful news!
